Clinical trials

  • CureWise includes a clinical trials search tool that connects to ClinicalTrials.gov, home to over 500,000 studies, and filters results based on your specific situation. You can find it by clicking "Trials" in the left navigation menu. For the most personalized results, make sure your health documents are connected before searching.

When you arrive, the search fields will already be populated with terms generated from your health documents. This is a helpful starting point, but it is worth taking a moment to review those terms before searching. Because the search returns trials matching any of the listed terms, a broad list can surface trials that are not relevant to your specific diagnosis. For example, if your documents include "solid tumor," "breast cancer," and "HER2," the results will include trials for any solid tumor, not just breast cancer. Narrowing the terms to what matters most for your situation will give you more focused, useful results.

You can also filter results by trial status, phase, location, country, sex, and study type to narrow things down further.

Trials you want to revisit can be saved using the bookmark icon, and any you want to set aside can be marked as ignored. You can also export your results, or print a summary to bring to your doctor.

Once you find a trial you are interested in, click "Do I Qualify?" for a detailed eligibility assessment matched to your situation. This is the real payoff of the tool, so it is worth running on any trial that looks promising.
